Derek grew up in Otisville, Michigan, a small farm-town 30 minutes outside of Flint. During his college careeer - where he obtained dual Engineering degrees in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering - Derek started Superior Wake LLC, originally a lawn care and snow removal company, as a means to help with college costs.  It was here that he developed the skills necessary to run a business.  After college, his passion for Construction and his life-long dream of owning his own business came together, as he transformed Superior Wake LLC into a successful Real Estate Investment, Rental, Construction and Land Development company.

In his free time, Derek enjoys being on the water or in the snow and sharing life's journey with friends and family.

Emily A. DeRossett

Bio: Emily is originally from Union Bridge, MD, the fourth of five children.  She attended Lynchburg College where she obtained her Marketing degree with a Minor in Sports Management.  Originally planning to go into Sports Marketing, her plans quickly took a turn when a family friend hired her to be the Office Manager of a construction company.  During her time here, she learned the internal side of business - Human Resources, Finance/Accounting and Contracts. Emily expanded her skills when she took a job as a contractor with the Government as an Acquisition/Contracts Specialist.

Emily enjoys baking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Locus Azul Mini Monster

Bio: Azul was born and raised in Maryland and obtained her pure bread Great Dane Certificate from The American Kennel Club. She has learned how to be helpful around the job sites and specializes in protecting jobsite vehicles and alerting employees when someone arrives for an inspection or delivery. She is also very talented at opening doors and gates that are closed. 

Azul enjoys swimming, chewing on rawhide bones, and spending time with her family and friends.

Locus Dean The Dane DeRossett

Bio: Dean was born and raised in Maryland and also obtained his pure bread Great Dane Certificate from The American Kennel Club. He is learning how to be helpful around the job sites and specializes in licking everyone and making sure he is completely in the way. His loveable personality attracts new customers and assists with marketing. 

Dean enjoys swimming, chasing Azul, and spending time with his family.
